Where to Keep your plant?
You have to keep your plant in Full sun to partial shade and it is favorable for Henna (Mehandi) plant. For indoors, this plant will be benefited from west to south-facing windows.

When to Water Henna (Mehandi)?
Henna plants thrive in the heat and are very drought-tolerant once established. If you wish to boost the life span of the Henna plant, make sure not to overwater it. In fact, let the soil dry before watering it again. Moreover, water the plant less frequently in the rainy season.

When to feed Fertilizer?
For Henna (Mehandi) has moderate fertilization needs. Apply bio organic compost once a month for better growth

How to Prune Henna plant (Mehandi)?
Once your Henna (Mehandi) plant starts to grow fast, make sure that you have a habit of cutting them regularly to become bushier rather than growing as a miniature tree. They spread fast, the bushier plant tends to have more leaves in the branches.

Temperature
The average temperature for growing Henna should be around 19-25°C  as it does not perform well in cold weather.

Soil and Pot
To grow Henna (Mehandi) soil mixture is very important, you have to use Gardening soil of 50%, River sand 25% and Organic compost. Mix all these soil and having Effective Drainage is important for Henna (Mehandi). 

Effective Drainage
An excellent soil drainage is crucial to grow Henna (Mehandi). Take a pot make a small hole and fill with a small stone for the effective drainage. Fill the pot with the soil mixture of garden soil, river sand and organic compost.

How to Grow and propagate Henna (Mehandi) ?
Growing of Henna (Mehandi) plant is very easy and It can be grown by seeds and cuttings from the original plant. 

From Seed: Purchase the seeds from the local nursery or the seed supplier. You can plant multiple seedlings in one pot  Make sure to leave plenty of space between the seedlings so you’ll be able to dig them up and transfer them later.

From Stem Cuttings: It’s easy to propagate Henna (Mehandi) from cuttings. Take a cutting of three to six inches from mother plant and remove the leaves from the bottom.  Insert this stem in the soil a few inches deeper, with leaves above the soil surface. Mist it lightly and keep in the full sun.

 After 30 days, you can see Henna (Mehandi) cuttings started growing. Add the water before digging out of the stem cuttings from the soil. You can see we have gently started digging out the stem cutting to see the development of the roots. you can see the well-developed roots from all the stems. 

You can repot all the well-developed Henna (Mehandi) plant in a new pot to grow an individually. 

Harvesting and Storage

Henna must be harvested within the month of new growth or the leaves begin to turn yellow, Two months after new growth, the leaves may fall off the plant, and be useless commercial harvesting.

Diseases
Henna (Mehandi) plant is generally not damaged by aphids.so you can use a water-soap solution to kill the insects and bug attacks. And, don’t forget to remove infected parts immediately.

When to Re-pot Henna (Mehandi)?
If you find the roots growing out of the pot will require a transplant, maybe every two or three years approximately.
