How to Grow Ajwain 
Growing of Ajwain plant is very easy and It can be grown by seeds and cuttings from the original plant.


Where to Keep your plant
Full sun to partial shade is favorable for Ajwain plant. For indoors, this plant will be benefited from west to south-facing windows..

When to Water Ajwain?
All it requires is watering regularly and sunlight exposure. Remember over watering can kill this and the soil has to be well drained before watering

When to feed Fertilizer
For Ajwain has moderate fertilization needs. apply oraganic bio compost once a month for better growth

 

How to Trim Ajwain?

Once your Ajwain plant starts to grow fast, make sure that you have a habit of cutting them regularly. They spread fast, So it is recommended to always grow them in containers.

How to Propagate Ajwain?

It’s easy to propagate Ajwain from cuttings. Take a cutting of three to six inches from mother plant and remove the leaves from the bottom.

Soil and Pot
To grow Ajwain soil mixture is very important, you have to use Gardening soil of 50%, River sand 25% and Organic compost. Mix all these soil And having Effective Drainage is important for Ajwain.

Effective Drainage
An excellent soil drainage is crucial to grow Ajwain. Take a pot make a small hole and fill with a small stone for the effective drainage. Fill the pot with the soil mixture of garden soil, river sand and organic compost.

Fill the pot with soil mixture and spay water to keep the soil mixture before planting. Make a small holes and  push the bottom part of the stem cutting into the soil. Lightly. add water to keep moisture after planting.

 

After 30 days, you can see Ajwain cuttings started growing. add the water before digging out of the stem cuttings from the soil. You can see we have gently started digging out the stem cutting to see the development of the roots.. you can see the well developed roots from all the stems.

You can repot all the well developed Ajwain plant in a new pot to grow an individually.

 

Harvesting and Storage

You can use leaves fresh in cooking or making tea. Avoid storing them for later consumption.

When to Re-pot Ajwain?

If you find the roots growing out of the pot will require a transplant, maybe every two or three years approximately..

Ajwain leaves have been proven to help in digestion when consumed with a small amount of black salt – they act as a good treatment for indigestion.

Pests and Diseases

Ajwain is generally not damaged by pests and cabbage worms.so you can use a neem oil spray to control aphids, and bug attacks And, don’t forget to remove infected parts immediately.
